Why no syringe? We keep it separate so you can choose exactly which species or strain you want to grow — this kit works with a wide range of varieties. We recommend liquid culture for the most reliable results.

👉 How it works — three simple phases

1. Inoculate (~5 minutes)
Wipe the port, inject your liquid culture or spores, and leave the bag somewhere warm and dark. Hard part done.

2. Colonise (2–6 weeks)
Wait while the mycelium spreads through the bag. A quick break-and-shake at 25% speeds things up, then let it finish.

3. Fruit & harvest (1–2 weeks)
Open it up, add light and cooler temps, and pins appear within days. Harvest, rest the bag, and go again for a second flush.

🍄 What you can grow

Whether you're growing for the kitchen or for a more personal experience, the CVG substrate in this kit supports a wide range of species — including therapeutic varieties, blue, grey, pink, king and yellow oyster, enoki and pioppino.

(Note: wood-loving species like Lion's Mane, Reishi and Shiitake prefer a hardwood substrate and aren't recommended for this kit.)
