Quality injection ports

Self-healing injection ports are used extensively by both hobby mycologists and professional mushroom cultivators and have various applications. It provides excellent contamination prevention when injecting spores or mushroom liquid culture using syringe needles.

Our ports are made from high-quality thick butyl rubber which will withstand high temperature and high pressure in an autoclave or pressure cooker and retain its original shape and can be reused multiple times.

How to install an injection port

Injection ports are used in various mushroom grow kits, substrate containers and mason jar lids. Most mushroom cultivators would drill a 7mm size hole and glue a port using RTV silicone. We have conducted many tests and came to the conclusion that messing with RTV silicone is absolutely not necessary. The trick is to drill a 5mm hole and squeeze the port in. It will fit in snuggly and remain completely airtight. You can thank us later!

How many times can it be used?

Unlike cheap alternatives, these self-healing ports can be punctured with needles multiple times. It can serve its purpose about 15-20 times when using thin syringe needles (such as 21G). When using thick 16G needles, injection ports can be punctured anywhere from 5 to 15 times.
